How do I apply to become a Scavenger Affiliate?
To apply to become a Scavenger Affiliate, you will need to complete the application form. You can access this by going to the Affiliates section of the Scavenger website and clicking on 'Register' on the top left menu of the Affiliate homepage.

What is the process after I submit my application?
Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation of your application via e-mail. Then we will review your application within three working days and notify you by e-mail whether your application has been approved or declined.

Once you have been successful in becoming an Affiliate, we will give you instructions on how to log in, how to place Scavenger banner and product links on your website, and how to manage your account.

Why do applications to become an Affiliate go through an approval stage?
An approval stage has been built in to assess whether becoming an Affiliate is mutually beneficial to both you and us. The decision made is entirely based on commercial reasons.

How much technical knowledge will I need to set up as an Affiliate?
You require very little technical experience to set up as an Affiliate. We have designed the process to be as simple as possible, and we provide instructions on how to place banner and product links onto your website.

Can I cancel my Affiliate agreement at any time?
You can cancel the agreement if you no longer wish to be an Affiliate. Please contact us in writing to confirm this.

Is the Affiliate Programme solely for businesses within the UK?
No, businesses with websites based outside the UK are free to apply for the Programme. We will review all applications and decide whether the applicants are suitable to become our Affiliate or not. Please contact us if you need more information.

Do I have to pay to become an Affiliate?
It is free to apply to and join the Affiliate Programme.

What happens if I have more than one website from which I would like to link to Scavenger?
You can use the same link(s) for more than one website provided you let us know the name and URL of the additional sites you want to add links to. Alternatively, you can apply separately for each site and, on approval, have separate unique links for them. You also have a choice to receive a consolidated commission payment for multiple websites per quarter. If this would be suitable for you, please contact us to let us know about the websites you would like a consolidated payment for.

Banners, statistics and tools back to top

What tools do you provide once I become an Affiliate?
We provide links and banners which contain your unique ID and can be placed on your website. These can be found in your Affiliate Account area under banner links and product links.

How many times can I put links to Scavenger or factsheets on my website?
There are no limits to the number of links or banners that you can place on your website.

You can view statistics about the number of referrals you have generated through the Scavenger banners on your site, the amount of commission you have earned, and your commission payment history.

Commission and payments back to top

How much commission will I earn?
The commission rate is 20% of net sales.

When will I start earning and receiving commission?
You will start earning commission as soon as a customer makes a purchase through a banner or product link on your website. Commission exceeding £15 will be paid on a quarterly basis (March, June, September and December), approximately 30 days following the end of each calendar quarter. In the event that the fees payable in any quarter are less than £15, this amount will be carried forward to the next quarter.

How do you pay commission to Affiliates?
We prefer to make payment by Banks Automated Clearing System (BACS) to your nominated bank account for the commission earned. You must complete the BACS details request form before any payments can be made. If BACS payment is not possible for any reason, please contact us to discuss other options.

What happens if customers who are directed from my website to Scavenger return the products they purchase?
If a product that generated a commission fee is later returned by the customer, or a credit is issued, we will deduct the corresponding commission fee from your next quarterly payment.

Do you send me a copy of qualifying sales of Scavenger products made from my website?
A sales report will be sent every quarter (March, June, September and December). You will be sent a report whether or not any commission is due to be paid.

If you are an active Scavenger Affiliate, you can also view sales made at any time by logging onto the Affiliate Account Area.
